McKinney, Texas — Substitute teachers step in to serve when a teacher must be away from school, and they help ensure continuity of learning while the teacher is out. Their role is essential, and ÈÕ±¾avÎÞÂë is currently seeking qualified substitutes to join the ÈÕ±¾avÎÞÂë team.

ÈÕ±¾avÎÞÂë will process substitute applications for the 2023–2024 school year through February. The district strives to employ the most qualified applicants; therefore, those with a valid teaching certificate will be considered first for substitute teaching positions.

In addition to substitute teachers, ÈÕ±¾avÎÞÂë also utilizes substitutes for paraprofessional staff (clerical and classroom aides) as well as speech pathologists and nurses (which requires RN licensure).

For complete information about the application process and ÈÕ±¾avÎÞÂë’s competitive substitute pay scale, visit ÈÕ±¾avÎÞÂë’s Substitute Opportunities page by clicking here.
